The companies range from micro start-ups to local multi-nationals with a strong emphasis on the ICT Sector. The training network evolved from the promoter organisation, the Innovation Technology AtlanTec Gateway (itag).
itag Skillnet operates under the umbrella of Skillnet Ireland, the national talent development agency of Ireland. Skillnet Ireland is funded from the National Training Fund and the European Union through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.

itag Skillnet works closely with industry to identify and fill talent gaps for our sector. Everything we do is enterprise-led. The majority of programmes we deliver can be tailored to exactly match company requirements. Programmes can be delivered in-person or virtually at a highly competitive rate due to the Skillnet Ireland funding we receive.
We engage with expert trainers to deliver our training plan. Our trainers have all worked in the industry and they bring this wealth of experience to the programmes they deliver.

Skills Connect
itag Skillnet primarily focusses on supporting those in employment within the West and Mid-West region. Whilst our key focus is on the needs of member companies, we also offer a small number of fully-funded programmes for jobseekers, subject to eligibility criteria and places being available on the programme.
We offer a limited number of FREE places to those who are unemployed and seeking to increase their employment prospects through up-skilling in relevant training. If you are currently unemployed, you may be eligible to attend training with itag Skillnet with no charge or impact on your social welfare payments or benefits (for those who are in receipt of such payments). All participants on training programmes will be asked to fill in an itag Skillnet Participant Profile Form. This Trainee Profile Form is used by Skillnet Ireland and itag Skillnet to collect information relating to participants on training programmes partially or fully funded by Skillnet Ireland from the National Training Fund through the Department of Further & Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. Skillnet Ireland is mandated by the Department to monitor and evaluate training programmes and to ensure that funds are being used appropriately.
