Tympany Medical is a NUI Galway spin out medical device company founded by BioInnovate Ireland Alumni, Dr. Liz McGloughlin and Rory O’Callaghan. The company is developing next generation endoscope technology to solve unmet needs for patients, surgeons and healthcare systems.
In 2020, Tympany Medical made significant commercial and technical progress through funding by EIT Health. NUI Galway, Leiden University Medical Centre and YES! Delft collaborated with Tympany Medical to advance the design and development of OtoVU, an endoscope enabling two handed Endoscopic Ear Surgery.
