Date, Saturday 16th November: Empathy Jam Galway, a user experience research and design event, return to the Portershed in Market Street on Saturday, 16th November. Empathy Jam will bring together Galway residents and technologists to collaborate on new ways to feel connected, supported, and excited about imagining and creating our future.
This collaborative UX effort between local tech entrepreneur and consultant Diarmaid Ó Fátharta and University of Galway academics Mairéad Hogan (J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics) and Karen Young (School of Computer Science) is sponsored iTAG, Genesys and Liberty IT.
Participants in the event will be given a challenge to solve to improve the everyday lives of those around them. They will then collaborate and innovate to reach a creative solution, with help from experienced mentors, while learning and practicing User Experience Design methods.
Registration starts at 9am, with the event kicking off at 9.30am and finishing at 5.30pm with prize giving for the best solutions. Entry fee €10, which includes refreshment and lunch.
