About the Presenter – Deirdre McHugh B.A. LL.B. LL.M. Barrister-At-Law.
Deirdre McHugh, Barrister, is a Lecturer in Law at the GMIT and is a founder member of 353 Management & Legal Training Services. Deirdre is a strong advocate in educating businesses that prevention is far better than the cure and her focus is to avoid costly litigation by ensuring her clients have a deep understanding of all their legal compliance obligations by putting preventative strategies in place.

Deirdre graduated with a B.A. Degree (1988) and an LL.B. (Law) (1991) degree from NUI Galway. She then obtained her Barrister-at-Law degree (1994) from the Honorable Society of Kings Inns, Dublin and was awarded her Masters Degree by Research in Law (LL.M) (2003) from UCD.

Deirdre conducts nationally a range of highly interactive and practical Workshops on many employment Law issues including the importance of having procedures and using them effectively. In these workshops Deirdre creates an opportunity for those attending to present live issues to the Workshop and have them addressed through case studies. Deirdre is an expert in the area of Employment Law and is renowned for her ability to communicate complex issues in a simple to understand manner. Her sessions are highly interactive with a question and answers style approach which is based on years of practical experience. Deirdre’s client base covers a broad range of industry and business related interests.
