Background
This one day Professional Coaching Skills for all People Managers has been delivered to more than two and a half thousand leaders at various levels throughout organizations in more than thirty locations worldwide. The focus of this one day workshop is to support all participants to develop the core skills of coaching so that they can begin to coach their team members immediately following this workshop.
Workshop Outcomes:
Part participants of this workshop have developed the following competencies:
➢ How to leverage the GROW Coaching framework to empower their team members to higher levels of responsibility and personal ownership
➢ Clarity on the difference between Mentoring and Coaching and knowing when to transition from Mentoring their team members to Coaching them.
➢ Advanced Active Listening Skills – Skilled coaches have the ability to pick up the non-verbal as well as the verbal component of all communications.
➢ Respectful Challenge Skill – The most effective coaches in the workplace today are aware of the importance of balancing Active Listening with Respectful Challenge. Without the coach possessing this skill of Respectful Challenge, very little progress can be expected.
➢ All participants will have the opportunity to practice by having some real coaching conversation. All participants will also have the opportunity to experience what it is like to be coached by one of their fellow participants.
